1. Muddha Mandaram
Entertainment is a large part of our lives and a day without it is a day without harmony. Thankfully, we have our own schedules and our own favourite shows that provide us with our daily dose of entertainment. And so, on the occasion of World Television Day, we decide to give a shout out to our favourite shows. Let us know if we got your pick too.
Thanuja Gowda and Pavan Sae-starrer Muddha Mandaram is the story of Ghattammaneni family and it’s head, Akhilandeswari. She is the most idealistic woman we know and is truly a force to reckon with. While many continue to break her morale and her family into bits, she finds a way to keep them together. Its lead pair, Abhi and Soundarya take us back in time with their love story and remind us of the iconic telly pair Deva and Parvathi.
2. Kalyana Vaibhogam
After some family drama, we love some light-hearted comedy. Kalyana Vaibhogam starring Meghana Lokesh and VJ Sunny is the ultimate source of entertainment. It is the story of twin sisters who want the same man. However, it is the PA, played by actor Surya Teja who adds the real fun to this show. It’s a madhouse that provides you with comedy, drama, thriller, murder-mystery and more.
3. Ninne Pelladatha
Who said TV isn’t for youngsters? Tune in to Ninne Pelladatha on ZEE5 and explore this story of six urban youngsters trying to tackle real-world problems. From juggling between job and family to dealing with traditions in contemporary society, this show strikes a chord with everyone – gender no bar! Also, these young actors make for a great visual treat.
4. Attarintlo Akka Chellellu
Let’s be honest, a good old cliche never hurt anyone. And if that’s your jam – you shouldn’t be missing out on Attarintlo Akka Chellellu starring the gorgeous Chaithra Rai and the handsome Akarsh Byramudi. While they look great on-screen, their pair is unlike any other on television. They are smart in many ways but also naive in their own way. You might find the things they do stupid but they will make you go “aww” every few minutes. Bet!
Last on our list is yet another off-beat drama that makes you laugh in equal amounts as it makes your sob. Suryakantham starring Anusha Hegde and Prajwal was an instant hit owing to their popularity. But its the sentiments targeted in this show that makes it a household hit. A woman ruling in a man’s world as a man and still keeping the woman in her alive, Suryakantham will make you root for her.
