How about watching some amazing films or even web series, if you plan on binge-watching. And, while you are at it, you might want some delicious snacks to accompany you too. So, here we have not just one, but two simple and delicious snack for you to relish on.

This Republic Day, treat yourself to a lip-smacking Paneer Pakoda and a Tri-coloured Dhokla. Both the recipes that we share here, today, are by the one and only, Masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor.

To make the super simple Paneer Pakoda, here are all the ingredients you will need to do. Take a medium-sized bowl, add half a cup of besan, garam masala, coriander, cumin powder, salt, some chopped green chillies and amchur powder. You can also add some cornflour to bind the ingredients together. Once you have your dry ingredients, give it a good mix before adding oil and some water. Now that you have the mixture ready, set it aside and work on the pakoda by cutting cottage cheese into thick slices. Turn the flame on medium-high, add a vessel in which you will deep fry these paneer pieces after dipping them into the mixture.

Once you have your golden-fried pakodas, add a couple of pieces to a bun or a pav and serve it with some pudina chutney. You can watch the recipe here:

For the second recipe, the tri-coloured dhokla, here’s what you need to do. Start by grinding soaked rice and minapa pappu coarsely. Add some curd to the ground paste and set it aside to ferment. As that takes place, add some sev to the food processor and blend it until it turns into a smooth powder. Transfer it to a bowl and add some turmeric powder for colour, water to make the paste and curs for fermentation. Now, to make it light and fluffy, take some lemon juice in a bowl along with oil and baking soda. Mix this well into the yellow batter. In the meantime, you can also transfer the white paste into a tin and let it steam for 5-6 minutes.

When the dhokla is ready, take it out and spread a generous amount of green chutney to it. Now, pour the yellow batter over it and keep it to steam again. Take it out, let it cool, cut them into smaller pieces and gobble on!
