1. The unconditional love
The popular Telugu TV show Muddha Mandaram is on our daily to-watch list. It’s lead characters Abhi and Soundarya, played by Pavan Sae and Thanuja Gowda, are everyone’s favourites. But before the generational leap that the show took, it was Pedda Babu or Deva and his wife Parvathi who we could not get enough of. Even though the couple passed away in an accident in the Telugu serial, we still wish deep in our hearts that they were together. So here’s listing down four reasons why we want their love and legacy to live on, even though they are no longer alive.
First and foremost, Deva and Parvathi’s unconditional love. We have seen them fall for each other, struggle to hide their emotions and then finally admitting their feelings. Eventually, the couple that’s meant to be tied the knot and made us extremely happy. We never got tired of watching them together.
2. The chemistry
We witnessed the undying chemistry between Deva and Parvathi when Parvathi lost her memory and yet fell for Pedda Babu all over again. Their chemistry could also be seen in their little gestures and the way their eyes lit up when they looked at each other. It felt as if there was no other world for the two of them!
3. The couple that everybody loved
Initially, Deva’s family was doubtful about accepting their cook Parvathi as the ‘inti kodalu‘ (the daughter-in-law). But looking at their chemistry, everyone was convinced that there could be no one better for them. And then, not only did Parvathi gain the respect of her in-laws, but she also impressed their distant relatives with her simplicity and honesty.
4. The endless drama
We all know what makes Muddha Mandaram so dear to us is the drama that comes along with our favourite characters. The more problems they face, the closer they come. Even when they fall apart, they come back together stronger.
Deva and Parvathi are no longer a part of the show. But we continue to miss them.
