In the week before the last in Kalyana Vaibhogam, Manga decides to put an end to the generational curse. So that none of the further daughters-in-law of Suryadevara family will have to die untimely. They reach Devipuram and a large snake follows them into the house. Chary sees the snake in the CCTV and Swaroopa learns of Manga’s death by a serpent. The first night, Chary brings fresh milk for Manga but the snake drinks it without anyone’s notice.
Watch the week in short here:
Chary, Swaroopa, Chandrika and Prasad see the snake peeping into Manga’s room from the window. They try to distract Jai and Manga to step out of the room. But Jai asks them to leave them alone, and not intrude into their private time.
Swaroopa wakes up with a jolt when she dreams that Manga is dead because of the snake’s bite. But then, she goes and begs Jai to allow her to see Manga. That’s when Jai asks Swaroopa to stay away from his wife.
All the people who know of the curse, gather together and console Swaroopa. Chary also tells Swaroopa that he would do whatever it takes to save Manga, just as Swaroopa’s wishes.
Manga comes to the fields with Jai and the medical entourage. She goes to the rooftop and swirls around, in love and freedom. She says something and it upsets Jai, who goes to the car.
In the meantime, Swaroopa ends up stopping her car when a man comes and falls on the bonnet of her vehicle. When she steps out to ask what was wrong with him, the man explains that he got hit by a bull who got out of its leash. To their misery, they also find out that it was headed towards the fields.
Jai pulls out a pistol and points at the bull, who tries to cross path with Manga. Jai decides to kill it, but Manga and the others beg him to calm down and leave the poor animal alone.
During this time, Chandrika, Prasad and Nithya come in close contact with Jai. But Nithya runs away and Jai asks about her. However, Chandrika-Prasad tries to cover it up.
Jai gets annoyed by all that was happening around him and decides to go to the temple. He tries to bring the high priest out of his meditation. Chary begs Jai to step away and return home since he did not believe in god.
The high priest tells Chalammayya that they should not stop Jai from knowing the truth if he was actively seeking for it. Chalammayya questions this statement because Jai would be at the risk of dying if he learns about the curse.
