In the week before the last in Kalyana Vaibhogam, Chalammaya Shashtri begs the high priest to save Manga. Chary-Jai see the snake in the house and get a fakir baba to get rid of it. Jai wonders what was going wrong with the house and Manga. And, he asks Jeji about the dead ladies of their family.
Watch the week in short here:
Swaroopa comes back home from her meeting with Chalamayya Shashtri and the high priest. She tells Kalpana that they have confirmed that there are no ways to save Manga or stop the curse.
Nithya meets the doctor on an isolated street, outside Jai’s house, and tells her to follow the plan. She hands the doctor a medicine that would make Manga unconscious for several hours when injected. She threatens the doctor, too.
Sometime later, the doctor steps out of Manga’s room to be asked if it was a girl or a boy by Jai. She makes a disappointed face and exclaims that Manga was no more.
This news reaches Chalamayya Shashtri, and talks to the high priest, only to learn that Manga is still alive. Because the Akhanda deepam in the temple would be raging with flames if Manga was really dead.
Nithya meets Chandrika and Prasad in the fields the next day, with a large gun in her hands. She threatens to shoot them and send them away along with Swaroopa and Manga if they fail to oblige with her.
While everyone continues to cry, and Jai blames himself for Manga’s death, the priests come to their doorstep. Despite their stringent attempt at convincing Jai that Manga was alive, he asks them to get out of his house.
Because everyone was forcing Jai and the others to complete the last rites, Jai goes to Manga. He touches her feet as a matter of apology but sees something that stuns him. Earlier, the high priest in the temple says that Manga will be saved, but only by the baby in her womb.
