In the week before the last in Kalyana Vaibhogam, Manga and Jai meet with an accident on their way to Devipuram. Swaroopa sees them and takes them to the hospital, where Manga gains consciousness and heads out again. Manga finds out that she has only three days until the generational curse kills her. Instead of crying, Manga takes it with a smile and decides to prepare everyone to be self-sufficient before she leaves them forever.
Watch the week in short here:
After introducing the baby to everyone, Manga asks Jai to give the baby a bath in the lawn. Jai takes Chary along and tries to find a way to give the baby a bath without having to deal with the baby’s crying.
After Jai succeeds, he goes inside to dress the baby up. Manga talks to everyone around her and tells them that they must help Jai in taking care of the baby well.
As she does that, Manga stops by her mother and starts sobbing. For the first time, Manga tells her mother that she does not want to die so early in her life and that she wants to see her child grow. But soon, Manga gathers herself and stops crying.
Manga goes back inside the house and finds that Jai has dressed up the baby perfectly well. She simply drops a comment that now, he could take care of their baby without her having to worry about anything.
But this does not go down well with Jai. He gets upset and asks her to never say anything like. Jai starts talking about how he has seen darkness early on in his life, without having a mother by his side.
As Swaroopa takes a leave, Manga tells her mother that she has one wish before she dies. Manga goes on to explain that she wants to see Nithya get married and settle down.
When Swaroopa tells her Nithya might not be ready for the wedding, Manga insists on convincing her. So, they all go to Nithya and Manga expresses her desire to see Nithya married. Nithya happily agrees, but she scolds Swaroopa later for bringing her home.
After having a heated debate with Nithya, Swaroopa goes to Rana and tells her the whole scenario. Rana stands his ground and says that he will not marry Nithya. However, he later changes his stance and agrees to marry Nithya.
That night, Manga wakes up and takes the mangalasutram out. She decides to give it to Nithya and see her get married and live a happy life.
Later, Jai finds out that Manga swiped his debit card to purchase a mangalasutram, and decides to find out whose marriage she was attending.
