While everyone is locked inside their own houses, our Tollywood stars are trying to make the most of their time. Given their busy schedules otherwise, the stars are experimenting with various things ar home. Recently, we saw Nidhhi Agerwal try painting at home. Similarly, Shruti Haasan tried her hand at making soaps during this isolation period. Going by the pictures, she enjoyed the process as much as she enjoyed the end result. And you can do it, too!

To make DIY crystal soaps, you will need a lot of time and patience. Good for us, because we have all the time in the world. So, let’s start by melting clear glycerin into a bowl. While the mixture is still warm, pour some of it into another bowl and pour the remaining clear mixture into your mould. Remember to allow the clear mixture only half-way through the mould, or lesser.
Now, add any colour that you would want your soap to be. You can have fun here and create whichever pattern or colour you wish to create. If you are all about the fragrances, feel free to add a few drops of your favourite essential oils. Once you are satisfied with the way it looks, set it aside. Before you pour this mixture into the mould, find a natural crystal that suits your tastes and place it inside the mould. Over this, pour your coloured mixture.
If you wish to go another step ahead to make your soap look more aesthetic, pour the liquid in three parts. While the first remains your clear glycerin, the second layer could be one colour and the third layer could be another layer or pattern. One thing that you must do to ensure that the layers combine well, is scratch the top layer in the mould before adding the next one.
Allow it to cool down on room temperature and remove it from the mould. Now, you can either cut the edges off to give it a particular shape or enjoy them as they are.
