Let’s face it. Shopping is always on our minds. If we aren’t mindlessly scrolling through the ‘new arrivals’ sections of our favourite e-commerce websites, we are busy putting things in the cart. And once we do that, the guilt trip kicks in. Then we are left thinking whether we should go ahead and place the order or just cancel the entire thing and look for something else. But looks like our favourite stars suffer from the same problem too. For instance, Soundarya from our favourite Telugu serial Muddha Mandaram. Thanuja Gowda, the pretty actor who plays the character in the Telugu TV show, recently posted a couple of photos on Instagram with the caption: “This is the problem with girls. They spend too much of time in shopping finally end up with nothing saying ‘I didn’t like’. Infact am also one among them.🤦🏻♀️🙈”
Do you relate to her too? Well, on one hand, shopping is an urge which needs cure too if you are always going overboard. But what if you are one of those people who spend too much time shopping, but finally get back without buying anything? While on the positive note, you do end up saving a lot of money, but you also waste a lot of precious time which you could have put to better use otherwise. Are we right?
How then, can you stop wasting time? First things first, figure out what is taking you out shopping. Is it a sudden impulse? Are you trying to divert your mind? Or is there something you actually need? Before you head out to shop or check out the websites, sit down and make a list of things you actually need. Do you really need that red halter neck dress or that pair of new sneakers or it is because you just want to indulge in retail therapy? Keep going through the list and you will eventually find yourself crossing out things that you don’t really require at the moment.
Find yourself a hobby. Like cooking? Join a masterclass and learn about new cuisines. Interested in sports? Enrol yourself in swimming or sign up at the local sports centre. Or simply gather your friends together and go out for a run. There are so many ways in which you can make yourself feel occupied.
Surround yourself with people who you actually care about and spend time with them. It could be your family or friends. Spending quality time matters. It will leave you feeling happy and refreshed and you will be able to focus on your work better. If you don’t feel like doing anything, just turn around, put on your favourite music, and go off to sleep. Lack of sleep often causes a lot of health problems. This way, you can take care of your health too.
Last but not the least, why don’t you log in to ZEE5 and watch whatever catches your fancy. Like some romance? Follow Muddha Mandaram to find out if Abhi (played by Pavan Sae) and Soundarya are actually coming closer. Or check out what’s happening in Maate Mantramu between Vamsi and Vasundhara as they spend time in an isolated cottage in the forest.
