Yes, girls have it so much easier when it comes to fashion. There are so many different kinds of outfits to choose from while heading out (if you do not take into account the ensuing and endless confusion that comes with it). But hey, that doesn’t mean girls can have all the fun, right? It is Saturday night after all, and you deserve to experiment with your looks and step out in your stylish best. And you don’t need to look beyond your favourite Telugu serial stars for inspiration. Like the uber cool actor Ali Reza, who plays Vamsi in Maate Mantramu.
Ali has styled a regular black tee and washed denims which he has paired with a striped black jacket with piping on the sleeve. But what is elevating the entire look and making it party ready is the pair of yellow sneakers that he has worn to complete the look. And he is carrying it with such cool confidence that we are loving the look.
Want to copy his style? It’s easy, says supermodel Amit Ranjan. “Yellow shoes remind me of the colour of autumn leaves, they brighten up your greys,” he says. We agree. But if you are wondering what you should be pairing them with, we have you covered. Says veteran fashion designer Salim Asgarally: “Yellow shoes can do wonders when teamed with whites or light candy colours. A white linen shirt and white three quarters worn with a yellow belt could be a head turner when worn with yellow shoes. Also, a pale blue or pale pink Jaipur block print (with some yellow thrown in the print) worn with white pants could do the trick when coupled with yellow shoes.” And no, the effect will not be OTT, he says. “Rather, it will be sharp and trendy,” says the designer.
Amit says you should also look at pairing them with khakis. “Denims are also a great combination. All linens with earthy tones will also look good with yellow shoes,” he says.
Go on, let a pair of yellow shoes add some sunshine to your wardrobe. Let your shoes be the talking point at tonight’s party.
