The movie started streaming on ZEE5, from April 29, 2020, and the reviewers are out with the opinions. A popular entertainment site, 123Telugu.com said, “The character of Amrutha is established nicely in the film and Amitha Ranganath does well in it. She is pretty good as an obsessive lover and is effective in the emotional and climax of the film.”

They further added, “Ram does well as a frustrated lover. The dialogues of the film are quite meaningful and especially those written for the heroine. Production values of the film are just about okay but the music is pretty impressive by N S Prasu and his BGM and score are good. The last twist that comes during the climax is also effective.”

Sangeetha Devi of The Hindu said, “Hypothetically speaking, maybe it’s easier to build a scenario of overtly obsessing over someone in a new country, away from family and friends.” “Newcomer Amitha fares much better, though for the most parts we see her ready to burst into tears or cry copiously.”

Mirchi 9 quoted, “Amitha Ranganath is a perfect match for the lead. They seem to be made for each other. Amitha too has a constant expression of sadness attached to her face.”

A reviewer from Gulte.com expressed, “Amitha Ranganath has an impressive screen presence and also can act. Her performance is what holds the film together. Songs are melodious and come as a part of the story. Cinematography is neat with a bluish tint maintained throughout. Sydney locales add to its visual appeal.”

Talking about the music, Binged.com added, “The melodious, breezy numbers feel therapeutic for the soul.”

In only a few days, the film has managed to garner a rating of 8.9/10 on IMDB. Amrutharamam is now streaming on ZEE5. Check out more romantic films here.
