5 Reasons Why We Think Murali From Maate Mantramu Has Dissociative Identity Disorder

If you have been intrigued by Murali's antics on the show, then fret no more. We try to decipher the motives behind his actions

Symptom 1: Mood swings

It’s not wrong to say that Murali’s middle name is weird, in the ZEE Telugu show Maate Mantramu. Right now, he is posing as Vamsi Krishna Kakarla, as the real Vamsi lies in a state of coma. Murali is constantly conflicted. One moment he is happy and the next moment he is not. And we truly think that he suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder or Split personality.

Symptom 2: Anxiety

Murali could have told the truth, time and again, but chose to lie each time. There have been multiple moments that he could have been better off with by being honesty. But he chose to call trouble upon himself. And then… as the deadlines inch closer, Murali’s anxieties tower to extreme heights.

Symptom 3: Altered consciousness

For the longest time, we saw that Murali wanted to be the ultimate Vamsi Krishna Kakarla and rein as him. His obsessive love for Vasundhara, too, peaked higher. But lately, he has been talking about saving Vasundhara for the day Vamsi comes back. And holding in his place until he takes over.

Symptom 4: Sense of detachment

Lately, we have also been seeing that Murali feels like he isn’t him anymore. While talking to himself Murali shares how he isn’t Murali anymore. The next moment, he tells himself he is the new Vamsi. And the very next moment, he says that isn’t worthy, he isn’t Vamsi, he cannot be.

Symptom 5: Self harm

From consuming excessive alcohol to harming himself physically, Murali has done it all. Why? You never know. How? Well, he makes it pretty evident.
